Finishers of EACH race will receive a finisher medal.
You are guaranteed the shirt size that you have requested if you are registered 1 week prior to race day. (April 7, 2018). We will do our best to get everyone the shirt size of their choice, but to ensure your shirt size, please register early.
Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event paying special attention to the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds and extreme temperatures. If necessary, athletes will be made aware of these predictions on the Moosic City Purity Dairy Dash web site and via email so that they can adequately prepare for severe weather during the race as well as possible course alterations.
On race day, the Race Director will monitor the weather and make a decision if any action will be taken to modify the run course. Possible scenarios include: change of race start time on the scheduled date, modification of the race course, change of race date or cancellation of the event. Wet, slick roadways, standing water and poor visibility due to heavy rains may require rerouting or shortening the course. Visible lightning will cause the race to be postponed for a minimum of 20 minutes. Additional sightings will continue to delay the race in 20 minute increments. If high winds are present, extra care will be taken to secure race signage, start and finish areas, mile markers, fencing, banners, timing clocks and other equipment. If extreme heat is predicted, extra water will be provided to the athletes, both prior to, during and after the event. The medical team will also be alerted that athletes may require additional medical attention during and after the event due to the high temperatures.
Due to insurance and liability issues imposed, no dogs are allowed at our events. That means NO DOGS allowed with runners or walkers on the course and we kindly ask spectators to leave dogs at home. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
15k Course Limit: 2.5 hours or 10:30am
10k Course Limit: 1.5 hours or 9:30am
5k Course Limit: 1.5 hours or 9:00am
If a participant’s pace falls below the course time limit, they have a few options:
Increase their pace to stay within the event minimum pace;
Board a “sag wagon” shuttle to be dropped off at the finish area.
Race entries are non-transferable (i.e. you can’t give your number to someone else).
Race changes are allowed. Please let us know before race day. If you are on course and decide to change, please let us know at our timing tent. If you do not let us know you have changed distances, you will be disqualified.
Switching from a LONGER distance to a SHORTER distance is allowed at no cost. Switching to the longer distance race will require an upgrade fee.

It is an enormous effort to clean up after the runners. There will be garbage containers after every water stop. You may drop your cup on the ground within 100 yards of the stop, but if you still have your cup when you pass the garbage can, then HOLD IT until the next stop. Please do not litter gel packs/tops at any time.
There are no refunds and no deferrals. An entry is not transferable to another person, for any reason.
Bandits (non-registered runners), bicycles, roller blades, wagons, and pets are NOT permitted on the course. Runners are to run on the right side of the road and must allow vehicles to pass. All courses are open to normal traffic, which is very light. Traffic will be held for the start of each race. No coaches, hand cycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards, baby joggers or dogs will be allowed on the course.
The safety of all participants is our primary concern, and devices such as headphones, cell phones, and iPods can cause problems along the course. We ask that, if you do plan to use an electronic device, please do so with caution and be respectful of the other competitors.
